How do I link my Slack account?
Send the connect0 app the word connect in a direct message. Open the link it sends, sign in to connect0 if asked, and select "Yes, link it". The link expires after 10 minutes.
The app says I cannot link. Why?
Guests, people from other workspaces and bots cannot link to connect0. If that looks wrong, ask an admin of your Slack workspace.
Why can only I see the answer in a channel?
connect0 answers with your permissions, so an answer can include things others in the channel may not see. That is why it is shown only to you. A question about your own spend or access is answered in your direct message instead.
Why does the app not answer in a channel?
Invite @connect0 to the channel first: it only hears messages that mention @connect0. If it still stays quiet, an admin may have turned that channel off in Settings → Channels in connect0.
Can an agent answer everyone in a channel?
Yes. In Settings → Channels an admin can choose an agent to answer in a channel; it then replies in the thread, as itself, where everyone can see it. A channel shared with another company can only be set up this way.
How do approvals work in Slack?
A request that needs your decision arrives in your direct message with Approve and Decline buttons. connect0 checks your permission again when you click, and a typed reply never approves anything. Spending and access changes are always decided in connect0.
How do I talk to a different agent?
Say talk to and the agent’s name in your direct message, or pick one under Talk to on the app’s Home tab. Say talk to zero to go back to Zero.
How do I unlink?
Say unlink in your direct message with the app, or press Unlink on the app’s Home tab. connect0 stops answering as you at once; say connect to link again.
What can the app read?
Your direct messages with it, channel messages that mention @connect0, and files attached to those messages. It never reads a channel’s history or messages that do not mention it.
How do we remove the app?
A workspace admin removes connect0 in Slack’s app management. connect0 then unlinks everyone in that workspace; if the app is added again, each person links again.
