Snapshot links

A snapshot link is a copy of a conversation as it is at the moment you make it. The conversation keeps going; the copy does not. Every link is its own copy, so an old link never shows what was said after it was made.

What is in a snapshot

Exactly this, and nothing else:

• your prompts (what you typed or said), with the files you attached;
• the agent's final reply of each turn — the answer, or the one-line summary of an action card;
• the thread title.

Never in a snapshot, and never read when one is made: tool activity and tool output, the agent's intermediate text and thinking, system messages, notices, side notes, page context, memory, provenance, run ids, model or tool names. There is no way to include them.

Who can open it

Making one

Thread → Share (also on Ask Zero): pick the audience and an expiry, read the sentence, Create link. The link is shown once — copy it then. Lost it? Make another; the copy is identical.

Expiry, revocation, and the sharer

• Links expire after 7 days unless you choose otherwise; an owner caps how long any link on the account may live, and only an account with no cap can make a link that never expires.
• Revoke from the Share dialog's Manage links: the copy is deleted at once and the link stops working for everyone.
• Every time a link is opened we check that the person who made it is still a member who can see the original. Remove a member and every link they made stops working.

The link is a bearer

Anyone who has the URL of an Anyone with the link snapshot can read it and forward it. That is the point — and the limitation. Prefer People in the account when the reader has an account; keep expiries short; revoke when done. Snapshot pages are never indexed, never cached, send no referrer, and load nothing from third parties.
